How are Pavement Markers used?

Pavement markers are reflectorized for a reason. They are ideal for various applications, like two-lane roads, construction zone entrances and exits, roadways, and multi-lane highways. They can also be used for individual spaces like small parking lots. Combining a raised texture with a reflectorized appearance, these traffic devices are meant to organize existing lanes, and temporarily warn motorists about freshly paved surfaces, and painted lines. In general, they are used in order to make the road easier to navigate, while ensuring safety for motorists. Visible during daytime, pavement markers amplify small amounts of light coming from bicycle and car headlamps, thus illuminating their appearance.
