The Green Galvanized U-Channel Post Breakaway Kit is designed to improve safety for drivers when a post or barrier is hit. It is coated with green enamel finished to provide a more “natural” look to flush with its surrounding environment. A sign support can be a fatal hazard when struck by a vehicle. For that reason, breakaway system is designed to allow the signpost to break away from the anchor post. Our Galvanized U-Channel Post Breakaway Kit complies with FHWA safety guidelines and is approved by AASHTO. Made with rust resistant and quality materials, these breakaway kits can be re-used even after accidents. You can simply re-fit the post back into the base post without installing a new one with the help of a replacement hardware kit.
